ACCESSIBLE VOTE BY MAIL - OMNI BALLOT
The Accessible Vote by Mail (AVBM) system allows you to receive, complete, and return your ballot electronically using a secure web portal if you are unable to mark a paper ballot because of a disability. This system is compatible with screen readers.
The AVBM system is only available to voters who are unable to independently read, write, hold, or physically manipulate or mark ballots. This could be due to:
- blindness or vision impairments,
- mobility/dexterity disabilities, or
- other disabilities that make it difficult or impossible to effectively access a paper Vote by Mail ballot, because of inability to independently read, write, hold, or physically manipulate standard print materials. (source: Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts website)
To request the AVBM electronic ballot, you will need to click on the link below to complete the application process. Please be sure to check the box at the bottom under the Accommodation section, stating that you are requesting use of the AVBM system due to a disability. An email address is REQUIRED for access.
The completed ballot can be returned electronically or printed and returned by mail, secure ballot drop box, or in person to your local election office or early voting location.
NOTE: The deadline to make a request is 5pm on the 5th business day before Election Day.
