Master Plan Project Organization

The Master Planning Process is managed by Town Staff and the Planning Board, with support from a team of consultants. The Planning Board Office has led a consulting contract to Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) as the prime contractor.

The Planning Board will provide guidance and oversight to the process, to review the work performed by the contractors, and to act as liaison to the wider Charlton community.

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) is the contractor, and is responsible for delivering the Master Plan document. They are providing specific expertise in the areas of:

• Project Management and Administration
• Land Use
• Open Space
• Historic Resources
• Growth Management
• Implementation and Funding, and
• Documentation

Central MA Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) is responsible for the GIS Mapping Support.
