This department is also responsible for all town highway work scheduling and coordinating with other town departments and local public utilities. NOTICES Stafford Street Bridge UPDATED 8-18-10 Mass D.O.T. advised that the bridge has been repaired and there is no longer a weight and lane restriction for the bridge. Glenmere Bridge - The repairs to Glenmere Bridge will start July 12, 2010. The bridge will be closed for approximately 4 – 6 weeks. Further info will be provided when made available from Mass Highway. Glenmere Road - Beginning April 26, 2010, Glenmere Road will be closed to through traffic for approximately 6 – 8 weeks for replacement of the bridge structure. Hammond Hill Road - Use caution when traveling at the Turnpike bridge – there will be working lights to allow single lane traffic to pass over the bridge. This is due to a total bridge deck reconstruction. Completion date expected: Mid October, 2010. North Main Street - Construction: The North Main Street Waterline Construction begins on Monday 3/22/10 thru 4/30/10 on North Main Street and Town Common. Expect delays and please plan accordingly.
