Building Inspectional Services The Department of Building Inspectional Services includes the Building Inspector, Gas and Plumbing Inspector, Wiring Inspector, and Sheet Metal. The Department of Building Inspectional Services enforce the Massachusetts Building Codes, 780 C.M.R. Assist homeowners and contractors in obtaining the proper permits for particular projects. Oversee from start to finish all permitted projects including, conducting necessary inspections and the issuance of completion and/or occupancy certificate. Works closely with the Zoning Enforcement Office. Considering a home improvement project?
